Let me start by saying that these are my PLANS…and plans often change {especially if you’re me}, so…there’s a good chance I might not stick exactly to what is laid out in the remainder of this post. Right now, these outfits are on my intended packing list and I’ve laid them out based on both days of the trip and events each day. Sources are linked below each photo collage.
Also, I’ve been swamped planning for the Make a Splash Teacher bash, working on some creative ventures for products to be released this week, and having fun with my sweet little man {Grayson ;-)}, so I’m going out on a limb and ordering a few new BARGAIN wardrobe items for this trip/event!! This could be AWESOME..ore a huge mistake. I guess I’m taking a “VEGAS GAMBLE” on some of my wardrobe pieces! {They should be arriving later this week, so I’ll have to update you on whether or not I’m starting over at square one, once they are delivered!!}
People…I’m SERIOUS about being comfortable while flying/traveling. My flight leaves at 7:00 am., which means I’ll need to be at the airport by 5:00, so I’ll be traveling in my fave Old Navy Activewear. I love it, because I’ll stay warm on the plane without overheating…and….because it feels almost like wearing pajamas on the plane!

In case you haven’t heard…I’m co-hosting the MAKE-A-SPLASH TEACHER BASH with Ashlyn from The Creative Classroom! Tomorrow {Tuesday} is the last day to register, so scoot on over to the RSVP form to join us!
As for fashion at the event, I’m going {or trying to, at least} totally retro Vegas glam! I ordered a super bargain, high-wasted, polka dot & floral retro 2-piece bathing suit on Amazon. I plan to pair it with a pair of darling little white lace pumps from Payless & a PERFECT little flamingo cover-up I recently snagged on SheIn {how could I RESIST?!?!}. See sources below.

Since I love a good theme, and my suit is so retro, I’m going to TRY {desperately, but hopefully somewhat successfully} to do something at least similar to the retro rockabilly hairdo featured in the visual tutorial above. It looks fairly simple, doesn’t have to be perfect, & works best with slightly messy/almost dirty hair…so how can I lose…RIGHT?!?!
The big event on Wednesday is the evening is the Vegas Teacher/Blogger Meetup!! This year, over 900 people plan to attend, so it should be a blast! For this event, I think I’m going to wear the little hot pink shift dress pictured above. As of now, I can’t decide on shoes, but those pictured are either ones I already own {top & bottom}
or have on my wish list {center} from Payless.

I snagged this little white gem MONTHS ago. It’s actually a funny story, because I was in a mall trying to secretly buy a birthday gift for my teaching bestie…when I RAN INTO HER. She was going into Forever 21, so I had to pretend I was just randomly shopping. While FAKING perusing the store, I stumbled upon the white dress above, it FIT, and I LOVED it. I can’t wait to wear it out to a late dinner {maybe at TAO?} after the teacher/blogger meet-up!
I can’t decide on shoes for this number either, but own the bottom multi-colored pump…
& am in LOVE with the blue suede {ELVIS-Inspired?!?!} beauty on top. Both are from Payless!
